Yasawa Islands Fiji

Travel to Fiji would not be complete without visiting the Yasawa Islands. Situated just off to the north-west of Viti Levu, this group of islands consists of about twenty volcanic islands noted for their beauty and relaxed lifestyle.

From a Fiji Island map, you will see that Fiji is made up of several islands, but the Yasawa Islands are special as they help to enclose a beautiful huge lagoon with the nearby Mamanuca Islands.

Imagine spending your Fiji vacation with nothing more to do than sleep in, laze on the sun-drenched beach, try a new water sport and finish the day dining at the water's edge in luxury: all in the perfect Fiji weather.

Stay at the Octopus Resort and enjoy a massage or lying in beachside hammocks. Join in the traditional Fijian meke, or cultural show, on Friday nights. This Fiji resort is on the famous Likuliku Bay, voted one of the best ten beaches in the world.

If you love the movie Blue Lagoon, then stay at the Turtle Island Resort. With room for only fourteen couples, the care and attention lavished on you will be remembered for a lifetime.

There is some great accommodation on Nacula Island, the third largest one in the Yasawa group. Try the Safe Landing Resort run by native people or stay at one of the many backpackers dotted throughout these amazing islands.

Some of the Yasawa Island activities include deep sea fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving as well as kite surfing and wake boarding. Your Fiji holiday will leave you relaxed and wanting more.
